Feedback on initial ideas

Last November’s stakeholder engagement saw us cast our net widely. We sought input from our people, from current tenants, the local community (businesses and residents), local iwi, council, government and other key stakeholders - we wanted to hear diverse views.

What came across loudly from our stakeholder engagement - and it is reflected in the Masterplan design - is a strong desire to take a regenerative approach, providing green spaces for people to enjoy the outdoors more and restoring the health of the Waiwhetu Stream with riparian planting and landscaping that doubles at flood protection.

The Masterplan shows the site being more permeable - welcoming the public into areas they can walk through and even use some of the facilities, such as the public café located at the heart of the site, GIQ Central.
